Today, Ülane leads ecosystem development and partnerships at e-Residency of Estonia, a government initiative enabling entrepreneurs around the world to establish and run EU-based companies online. After a career in sales and management, including at Estonia’s largest real estate agency, Ülane left the corporate world in 2010 to become an entrepreneur. Over the following decade, she built a cluster of tourism businesses, from publishing city maps and running Rick Steves–recommended tours to developing the award-winning travel app Like A Local, which grew to 500,000 monthly visitors after raising €500,000.

Her role combines her first-hand experience as a founder with her expertise in international business, partnerships and entrepreneurship ecosystems.
Having built businesses serving customers across borders, Ülane understands the opportunities and practical challenges of international expansion. She is passionate about helping entrepreneurs navigate the European market and build businesses that grow beyond their home markets.
