Trained as an Economist at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), she holds other postgraduate studies in Economics,
Local Development and International Affairs. Since 2001, Judith Romera has been working to promote Barcelona
as a business and talent destination and is Head of International Economic Promotion at Barcelona City Council.
During this period, she has gained extensive experience in city marketing and has been involved in different missions abroad to
promote Barcelona’s key strategic sectors, leading different projects to attract and help foreign companies to set up,
expand or do business in the Barcelona area. For the last decade, she has been in charge of developing the strategy
to attract and facilitate the arrival and integration of international professionals moving to live and work in the city.
