UK Export Finance
UK Export Finance is the UK’s export credit agency and a government department, working alongside the Department for International Trade. Our mission is to ensure that no viable UK export fails for lack of finance or insurance. We exist to complement, not compete with the private sector, and work with 70 private credit insurers and lenders.
UKEF helps UK companies:
• win export contracts by providing attractive financing terms to their buyers
• fulfil contracts by supporting working capital loans
• get paid by insuring against buyer default
We have a network of Export Finance Managers located across the UK. They provide support and guidance to UK exporters of all sizes and in all sectors. In 2018/19, we provided a record £6.8 billion of support for UK exports, helping 262 companies sell to 72 markets around the world – and supported 47,000 UK jobs. We are proud to have been voted Best ECA 2018 by Global Trade Review and Trade Finance Global. This is a recognition of our innovative approach to supporting exporters, comprehensive product offering and substantial appetite to take on new business.
