Department for International Trade
Rosa joined the new Department for International Trade (DIT) in September 2016 to lead engagement with business and other stakeholders on trade policy issues. She joins the Department from the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) where she was Director of Innovation and Strategic Communication.
Previous roles have included working with the former UKTI, including leading work to market the UK internationally, and as Director of Public Policy for Lloyds TSB. Her earlier career includes a variety of Whitehall policy roles embracing enterprise, manufacturing, trade and European policy issues. Her civil service career began with a focus on delivery of services for the unemployed.
Outside DIT, Rosa retains an involvement in her family’s industrial property business in Yorkshire and informally mentors a number of small businesses.
Shaping our future trade environment
Rosa will share insights into the work the Department for International Trade is doing to shape the UK’s future trade environment touching on the UK’s WTO membership, the trade discussions her department is having around the globe, the work it’s doing to stimulate the appetite for free trade and, of course, any points on that UK:EU trade relationship.
