Ricardo Carioni

Latin American Trade & Investment Association (LATIA)

Ricardo is Director of the Latin American Trade and Investment Association; whose members are Embassies and Trade/Investment agencies of 19 LATAC countries, coordinating strategies to promote business and relations among the region''s governments and companies.

Ricardo is Deputy Ambassador of Nicaragua to the UK and to Ireland, serving as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff. Head of the Tourism, Economic/Trade, Education, Culture, Press and Multilateral Organizations offices.

Ricardo is president of Latin American Group of Missions at the United Nations International Maritime Organization. He also represents Nicaragua at the International Coffee Organization and International Sugar Organization.

Ricardo spearheaded content and editorial operations for TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel site, for the APAC region, while based in APAC headquarters in Singapore, Tokyo and Beijing. Previously, he led operations for EMEA and Latin America, based in Soho Square.

Ricardo started his career in the U.K. with William Hill, as Country Manager, for Spain and LATAM, developing the brand and business, responsible for e-commerce, content, community, publishing operations, editorial policy, marketing, communications, user experience and partnerships, from Leeds, Gibraltar and Israel offices.
