Monica is the Founder & CEO of IBD-MC Ltd, a company which focuses on Strategic Financial & Commercial Analysis in the Retail & FMCG sectors, Consultancy in International Business Development; and, Trading of Latin-American products.
Monica has strong financial retail experience with the British Heart Foundation (BHF), Marks & Spencer (M&S), and Swarovski, where She was able to develop strategic retail analysis & reporting for the UK & Ireland. At M&S, Monica was part of the International Business Development team, examining a new franchise market in Latin America (macro/micro economics, pricing, competition, ease of doing business, business plan, etc.) & additional ad-hoc projects.
In Ecuador, Monica was head of FP&A at Mondelez Int., Acting Manager & Branch Office Manager at Moore Stephens Profile Consultores; and, Senior Consultant at Ernst & Young.
Retailers’ international strategic expansion - Doing business in Latin America
A general overview of selected emerging markets in Latin American which can be attractive for British Retailers’ international expansion. This will focus on key (macro) microeconomics aspects, as well as the strengths and challenges of those markets. This strategic analysis will include relevant points to enter successfully into the selected market(s) in the Latin American region. Latin American markets nowadays are more appealing to achieve international and sustainable growth in the long term.
